Most men are not aware that cancer that affects testicles is real especially in this modern world due to lifestyles and other factors. Many factors contribute to this cancerous condition particularly to those who neglect or ignore the self examination tips their doctors give. If you really want to avoid this problem, it is good to visit your doctor for examination and advice on how you would keep this problem away. For this reason, you should know that risk factors that contribute to testicular cancer to prevent this problem.

Normally, testes should descend to the scrotum after they are formed. But this does not always happen to every boy child after birth. While the formation of the testes takes place while the boy is right in the womb, descending of these testes to the scrotum happen later. Nonetheless, testes on some boys fail to descend due to various reasons and this becomes a major challenge to their parents and family members.

When testicles fail to descend, surgical procedure seems the only option to many people. The aim of the surgery is to move the testicles down to the scrotum to improve reproduction. According to most scientists, people who had surgery to move their testicles down the scrotum may have a high chance of developing the cancerous problem later in life. Children who go for these surgical procedures when they are 13 years and below are more prone to this danger.

If you had this cancerous condition before and recovered from it, you should not do away with close medical examination by your doctor since the problem may recur. Normally, this problem does not affect both of your testes at the same time. It affects one testicle at a time and if you had surgical procedure on one testicle, you should take more caution to the other.

Race and age is also a risk factor to this cancerous condition you need to know. Different from other cancerous conditions today, the cancer that affects testes is common to men who are middle-aged especially those between 15 to 49 years. Many white men suffer from this condition more than men from other ethnic groups do. For instance, this cancerous problem is most common in Western and Northern Europe than in other parts of the world.

People who have family members with a history of this condition should not dismiss the family history factor. If you learn that some of your close family members had this problem, you should know that your chances of developing it are also high. If one of the twin brothers suffers this problem, the other should seek medical care immediately to avoid the problem.

Anything that disrupts the way your endocrine gland functions is a threat in causing this cancerous problem. Many people fail to understand that pesticides and other chemicals used in industries and test laboratories affect the way the endocrine gland works. When these disrupting elements affect the functions of your gland, you are likely to develop this cancerous problem.

You should ask your doctor to help you fight infertility since it a risk factor to this cancerous condition. Men with fertility problems can develop this problem more that healthy men. Men who smoke a whole packet of 10-20 cigarettes for a long duration may be increasing their chances of developing the cancerous problem.
