HIV is one virus which attacks ones immune system and is deemed as a societal threat these days. In spite the huge crisis it brings, a lot of organizations like a HIV Jewish community NYC was formed which follows a long term goal. Since such illness has evoked the interest of billions of people worldwide, it is hard to ignore anymore.

Since HIV was not completely recognized as a virus that causes AIDS, its mostly considered as one problem that does affect the gay communities only. Eventually, it is also found among healthy and young people. Because it was not fully understood before, this causes fear of gays and a panic to a lot of unaffected individuals. Of course, so many people experience discrimination from others that cause more anxiety to them and to their loved ones.

AIDS death has decline thanks to the major advancement performed in drug therapies. Nonetheless, the deaths progressively rise and cause fear to numerous people. Its reported that roughly 4 million deaths are recorded around the world in 2008. Worse is, even children are affected. This eventually causes some panic and great fear to public.

Tradition of Jewish. AIDS is often discussed in numerous communities. Typically, in the tradition of Jews, they show a different voice about the said illness. One can even found a couple of chapters in book that recounts a lot of important details that concern this disease. It is a strict law of theirs to skip passage that turns out to be disturbing to read aloud.

In terms of official mourning, they typically start at the funeral ritual and not on the time of death. They believe that losses must be named out loud and witness first before the mourners can grieve. Likewise, its highly significant to allot some time to mourn over the loss of the ones affected by AIDS before individuals and the community can heal.

Torah teaches that everyone is equal. However, the individuals who are considered victim of the HIV and AIDS usually experience a lot self worth due to huge shame which these things brought. Some isolate themselves from others. Because their effects which do not only affect them but also their families and friends, this adversely changes their way of life and performance too.

Jewish communal responses. In spite the richness of sources about this illness, the entire reaction of the multiple communities remains rocky. Some of the mainstream synagogues mostly failed to create a positive and long lasting response to crisis. Due to severity of situation, this mostly leads to the significance of LGBT these days.

Since several groups were formed, leaders and as well as members were also voted and named. But at the crisis height, many were believed to be dead. Some areas responded fast to a situation by developing a communal response and this helps create various programs nowadays.

AIDS have a negative impact on people. If we only neglect our huge differences and constantly give support, we can make a difference. Perhaps being responsive and open minded matters.
