Picking A Cavachon Puppy For Sale

----------------------------------------------

Many people think adopting a dog is just a matter of picking something cute and going for it, though there are many more factors that should be considered. This includes things such as whether they fit one's lifestyle, their grooming and health concerns, the space they need, the amount of personalized attention and time they require, and the cost of feeding them. When considering that cute Cavachon puppy for sale, it is advisable to learn about the breed.

To begin, those interested need to understand that this breed is not purebred. They result from combining a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frise - both of full blood - or two Cavachons that are first generation only. Although quite show worthy, the AKC sees them as designer dogs as they are hybrids and will not recognize them officially.

Because they are a hybrid, the traits received from each parent will fluctuate somewhat from one pup to another, though basic characteristics are fairly standard. Since they are difficult to create, their availability is limited, which tends to drive the price of a quality dog to a premium. Most breeders usually have a waiting list because they can not match the demand.

When it comes to breeders it is extremely important to understand that they are definitely not all the same. Because they are not recognized by most top kennel clubs, there is no authoritative list on which facilities are approved and reputable, using responsible practices. For the most part, the most reliable way to find a trusted supplier is to speak with other people who own the breed.

Prior to entering a contract, it is strongly recommend that a physical visit be paid to each considered facility to personally view the conditions both young and adult animals are subjected to. If this is not an option, perhaps it would be possible to arrange a live video tour. It is important to see how the dogs are housed, exercised, fed, and socialized, as these factors can affect their health and development.

Once the dog is brought into the home, one would need to be aware of a few things. This toy breed is really small in the beginning which means people need to stay alert so as to avoid stepping on an overactive pup. Baby fur continues to grow rapidly for about six months, then after a massive shedding, it is replaced by a much sturdier adult coat. This one is low shed, minimal dander, which makes them hypoallergenic and a good choice for allergy sufferers.

As puppies are notorious chewers, shoes, pillows and furniture could be saved by offering them ample alternatives such as deer antlers or rubber bones instead. Pups absolutely need structure that is consistent in order to ensure the formulation of good habits. Beginning obedience training early and using a system of firm reinforcement with frequent rewards, yields the best results.

As adults, the dogs are typically only about 13" high and no more than 18lbs, making them suitable for small living spaces as well as large ones. They love other pets, elderly people, children, companionship, and lots of affection. Knowing what to expect can make the transition of adding a new animal to the household much smoother.
